Lophophora williamsii are very slow growing, small, spineless cacti that originate out of Mexico and Texas. They are used to growing in the most arid of regions and have adapted to requiring very little water to survive.
Largely due to over hunting / poaching in their natural habitat, Peyote have become an endangered species in the wild.
To gauge age, it generally takes about 2 to 3 years to get to 1cm and then it is an average of 1 cm per year. Brings new meaning to labour of love :-).
The 3cm + Lophophora williamsii plants will be flowering age.
