Mother Clone

Trichocereus Frankie Mother 1
Trichocereus Frankie Mother 2

Ok, Trichocereus Frankie is an odd one. Despite being one of the most sought after genetics around, not much is known about the history of this particular plant. The most that is known, is that originally, Frankie was gifted to Rodni Chisar, a famous grower from Aus. Rodni then cloned and distributed him.

Frankie is quite hard to classify as he has traits that span a few Trichocereus genus. My best guess would be a weird peruvianus / pachanoi cross or possibly a peruviana / chiloensis cross.

Either way, this is one heck of a gorgeous plant. The spines and notchy are epic and I find myself just starring at him wondering what the hell he is.

Steps For Rooting

Once the cut is received, place it around 1/2 inch to 1 inch in a pot of substrate. I use wooden kebab skewers to hold up the piece. Water lightly and you should start getting new root growth within a few weeks to a few months depending on conditions.

An alternative way would be to stick them in perlite and wait for them to root, once roots form you can re-pot.

All plants sold are strictly for garden / ornamental purposes. We are here to cultivate these beautiful plants and spread them as far as we can, nothing outside of growing (all things related to growing) will be tollerated.
